ABOUT THE DIRECTORS

In 2005, Mathieu Verboud and Jean Robert Viallet co-directed “The Lost Children of Tranquility Bay,” an investigative documentary on ultra violent boot camps for troubled teens in the U.S.

“Kill The Messenger,” “Une Femme a abattre,” is the second film co-directed by Verboud and Viallet. This exclusive investigative piece tells the story of Sibel Edmonds, an ex-FBI employee fighting to expose a major espionage case, and its subsequent cover-up by the US government.

Produced by Zadig Productions, the film shall be aired on Canal + France on September 19, 2006, and also on SBS Australia and in Belgium.

Mathieu Verboud- Mathieu Verboud, 42, a filmmaker and reporter for the last 20 years specializes on endangered populations. He has coauthored several books on the geopolitics of public health, and directed “Sex, Mensonges et Toxicos,” an exclusive piece of investigation on ‘Le Patriarche,’ a cult-like organization with worldwide branches; the story, first published in L’Express, was aired in 1999 on France 2.

Jean Robert Viallet- Jean Robert Viallet, 26, has worked in film making for the last 10 years as Director of Photography for TV documentaries and as camera operator in long-feature films: “Dancers in the Dark” by Lars Von Trier and “Swing” by Tony Gatlif. His background in documentary and fiction led him to direct “La Pied Dans La Porte,” his first documentary film in 2003. The 80-minute film tells the story of squat-dwelling artists in Paris.
